Vitamin B9 - Folic Acid 5-MTHF

Vitamin B9, also known as folate or folic acid, plays an essential role in cell division and tissue growth during pregnancy.
Folic acid supplementation increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status increases the risk of neural tube defects in the developing fetus. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 400 µg of folic acid, starting at least one month before conception and continuing for up to three months after conception.
5-MTHF (5-methyltetrahydrofolate) is the biologically active form of vitamin B9: requiring no transformation, it is directly bioavailable to all women. Our formula uses Quatrefolic® quality.
