FOLIC EXPERT® is a food supplement based on 5-MTHF Quatrefolic® folic acid, vitamins B6 and B12, specially formulated to meet the folic acid needs of women trying to conceive and throughout the first trimester of pregnancy. It provides 600 μg of 5-MTHF per tablet, a high dosage in line with the latest reassessments by EFSA and ANSES.

To fully play its role in the body, folic acid must be converted into its active form, methylated folic acid: 5-MTHF. Because not everyone is able to perform this conversion, FOLIC EXPERT® directly provides the active form 5-MTHF Quatrefolic® for optimal absorption by all women.

This 5-MTHF folic acid is associated with vitamins B6 and B12, in their bioavailable forms, two essential cofactors to help maintain normal homocysteine levels, thus limiting the risks of complications during pregnancy.

Vitamin B9 increases maternal folate levels. Sufficient intake before and during pregnancy supports healthy fetal development, particularly neural tube development. The beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of at least 400 μg of folic acid, starting at least one month before conception and continuing for up to three months after conception.

Usage tips

1 tablet per day to be swallowed with a glass of water, at least one month before conception and the first three months of pregnancy.

Precaution for use

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Food supplements should be used as part of a healthy lifestyle and not as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet. The presence of methylcobalamin may cause black spots to appear on the tablet; this does not affect the quality of the product. Excessive consumption may have a laxative effect. For adults only. Keep out of reach of young children. Store at room temperature, away from heat and light. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this food supplement.
